Welcome back to my blog! Last time, I showed you all the target market survey that I created in preparation for making my final magazine. After waiting a while, I'm excited to see the responses to the questions so that I have a better understanding of who my target market is and what they're looking for in a magazine. Let's get right into it!
This shows that my target market is made up of teens between the ages of 16 and 19. Because of this, I'll consider making my men's fashion magazine centered around teens instead.
The survey shows that the majority of people interested in my magazine are male, solidifying the fact that my magazine will be centered around men.
Most of the people who took the survey said that fashion is extremely important to them. This helps me know that men's fashion magazines are in demand.
The most common answer for this question was a 2 (not very often). This means that my magazine will have to be especially eye-catching to draw people in regardless.
This reinforces people's desire to buy a men's fashion magazine.
Having an understanding of the acceptable price range is useful for knowing the type of magazine that people are after.
This question is particularly important because it helps me decide what to focus on most in my magazine. Eye-catching photos, Bold titles, and Relevant articles seem to be the most important things for my target market, meaning I should focus more on these aspects.
The house style of the Vogue Hommes example appealed the most to my target market. Replicating some of the aspects from this magazine might make mine more appealing.
Audax, the Latin word for bold, caught my eye the most. After reviewing the survey, most people agree that the simplicity and class of Audax sounded the best for a men's fashion magazine.
Personally, I was leaning more towards bold colors for the magazine. After seeing these responses, I now have the 2 options of bold colors or cool colors. I'll experiment with these in the future to find which one works best.
